My Story

Moultonborough is my Home

I’m a Moultonborough resident, a father, and a licensed social worker. I’ve spent my career in mental health working to help people overcome seemingly impossible challenges. But the problems we are facing now are beyond the help I can provide one-on-one. I’m running for state representative to use my skills and experience to affect real change for our community.

My wife and I have lived in Moultonborough since 2013. Our daughter was born right at the start of COVID and she struggled early on with language and social skills. Fortunately, Moultonborough's universal pre-k program for 3 and 4 year-olds was life changing for her. She gained confidence, social skills, and a love for school that continues to this day.

My Journey Here

I was born and raised in eastern Pennsylvania in a hardworking middle-class family that made sacrifices so my two younger brothers and I could have opportunities to succeed. We always had food on the table, a home we owned, and reliable transportation — things that feel increasingly out of reach for many families today.

My passion for helping others and love of the outdoors led me to study Adventure Leadership at Ithaca College where I met Lauren, the love of my life and now wife. After college, I worked in outdoor adventure programs in Wisconsin and Montana, including a program for adjudicated youth. That experience showed me I needed more training to truly help people facing serious challenges.

In 2010, we moved to New Hampshire to be closer to family and so I could pursue training in Adventure Therapy at the University of New Hampshire through earning a Master of Social Work and a Master’s in Outdoor Education. After finishing my degrees in 2013, we moved to Moultonborough, a community where we have felt welcomed and cared for from the start. With a specialty in anxiety and trauma, I have spent the last ten plus years working to improve people's lives regardless of who they are or what they believe.

Today

My experiences have taught me how to help people face and overcome the hardest moments of their lives. But now, so many people are struggling with problems caused by bad policies and economic stress. Once again, I feel the need to do more for those struggling with impossible challenges. I am hopeful that I can earn your trust to bring your voice to the State House and advocate for policies that make our lives healthier, happier, and more fulfilled.
