My Story

I’m a Moultonborough resident, a father, and a licensed social worker. I’ve spent my career in mental health working to help people overcome seemingly impossible challenges. But the problems we are facing now are beyond the help I can provide one-on-one. That's why I’m running for state representative to use my skills and experience to affect real change for our community.

I was born and raised in eastern Pennsylvania in a hardworking middle-class family. My parents made sacrifices so my two younger brothers and I would have opportunities to succeed. We always had food on the table, a home we owned, and reliable transportation — things that feel increasingly out of reach for many families today.

My passion for helping others and love of the outdoors led me to study Adventure Leadership at Ithaca College where I met Lauren, the love of my life and now wife. After college, I worked in outdoor adventure programs in Wisconsin and Montana, including a program for adjudicated youth. That experience showed me I needed more training to truly help people facing serious challenges.

In 2010, Lauren and I moved to New Hampshire to be closer to family and to attend the University of New Hampshire were I earned a Master of Social Work and a Master’s in Outdoor Education. We married in 2012 and moved to Moultonborough in 2013 to be closer to the Lakes and Mountains and to take advantage of the town’s strong school system knowing that we wished to start a family one day.

2020 brought the arrival of my daughter. Born right at the start of COVID, she struggled early on with language and social skills. Fortunately, Moultonborough's universal pre-k program for 3 and 4 year-olds was life changing for her. She gained confidence, social skills, and a love for school that continues to this day.  â€‹â€‹

Today, many of the problems we are facing go far beyond the personal level. Once again I feel the need to do more to help people struggling with impossible challenges.

My experiences have taught me how to connect with people in order to face and overcome the hardest moments of their lives. I’m not afraid to have uncomfortable conversations about difficult issues. I am hopeful that by listening to your thoughts, worries, and hopes about the future, I can earn your trust to bring your voice to the State House and advocate for policies that make our lives healthier, happier, and more fulfilled.
